It was during the COVID Pandemic, MOMCT felt like many other companies, we also should involve in the Corporate Social Responsibility activity and should also open a COVID center by providing beds for treatment of the patients who are suffering with COVID. By the time it came to execution of the plan, the COVID cases had reduced drastically to its lowest. Still, MOMCT Team decided that it will go ahead with its objective of its own Dialysis Centre in the first phase.

MOMCT had a surplus fund of Rs.50 Lakhs and the hospital project was estimated to be around Rs.15 crores for a 20-bed hospital. It was then, that MOMCT decided that we shall help the needy and poor people of the society, we will not charge anything from the patient and it should be a 100% free without cash counter. In order to mobilize the required funds, from the Agarbathi Fraternity, Suppliers, Printers and other Donors, it was decided that the name of the hospital will be “ASHA KIRAN DIALYSIS CENTRE”.

MOMCT, involved in this dream project and also started consulting like-minded personalities in the field of Hospitals to share their experience, good practices and simultaneously following all required amendments to the Trust Bye-laws, seeking IT exemption from IT authorities for the donations being accepted for the Hospital. Post discussion with all the Trustees, Committee Members it was finally chosen by the Advisory Managing Committee that the name of ‘ASHA KIRAN’ is more appropriate for the Dialysis Centre. Reason being “ASHA” means “A RAY of HOPE” and “KIRAN” means “LIKE A NEW DAWN SUN RISE” for every individual who would be getting treated in our Centre.
